Essential Oil Dilution Guidelines

Diluting essential oils is crucial to ensure their safe and effective use, particularly when applying them topically to the skin. Below, you'll find a general guideline for diluting our featured essential oils, along with their popular uses and whether they can be used without dilution. Please note that these are general dilution guidelines, and individual sensitivities can vary. Always perform a patch test and adjust dilution ratios based on your specific needs and skin sensitivity.

Carrier oils include but are not limited to Coconut oil, Almond oil, Jojoba oil, Argan oil, and Grapeseed oil. 

Dilution can also be accomplished by wetting a cotton pad and then adding drops of the essential oil. 

  • Basil Essential Oil: 1-2% dilution (1-2 drops of essential oil per teaspoon of carrier oil). Popular uses: Muscle and joint support, mental clarity. Always dilute. Basil essential oil can also be added to massage oils, diffusers, and bath blends.

Adding essential oils into bath blends: 10 drops maximum (up to 10%)
